A 36-year-old woman was scheduled for a vitrectomy of her left eye due to an epiretinal membrane (ERM) secondary retinal vasoproliferative tumor. Visual acuity (VA) 20/20 in the right and 20/80 left. Before surgery, patient’s vision had improved (20/20). Fundus examination tomographic images revealed spontaneous release ERM. ERM usually presents after cryotherapy photocoagulation.
